Victor Osimhen has rejected a mouth-watering contract offer from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.

The Blue Waves were hoping to sign the Nigeria international in time for the FIFA Club World Cup.
Osimhen’s rejection of the Al-Hilal offer is considered definitive.

This is very joyful and pleasing!Sounds like a sweet melody and rythm to the ears!
Love you Victor!
Great decision.
Inzaghi you should have insisted on Victor while still coach of Milan. Why are coaches in top European clubs not insisting on Victor looking like personal bias by these coaches who have personal preferences for players not at Osimhen’s level, their favoured players not as talented not even close.
I understand coaches may be concerned about the financial impact of signing a high’profile player, especially if they are already dealing with budget constraint,However,if you look at top paid footballers in Europe you will understand their yearly wages is more than what Osimhen is demanding, let’s take a look at what some of these players earn weekly,
CASEMIRO-409,538 EUR
NEUER MN-403,846 EUR
LUKA MOD-420,769 EUR
ERLING HN-438,791 EUR
DAVID ALB-432,692 EUR
KEVIN DE B-468,044 EUR
Taking a look at these players earnings on yearly basis you’ll agree they’re about 20,000,000 just half of what Osimhen is demanding, while these clubs approved the signing of these players even with such incredible high wages yet Osimhen’s wages is seen as too exorbitant and overpriced!
Some of those players were signed on a free transfer or ran out their previous contracts b4 the advent of FFP.
These days, if you are paying 75m on a player with a 20m salary per annum, for maybe 5yrs, that’s about 175m in total. You have to provide guarantees you have raised that amount or more to finance such a move.
Now imagine if you have 5 of such players…..how many clubs can boast of up to 800m cash outlay without eternal borrowing or investments outside earnings from transfers…?
Clubs these days are doing everything to cut loose high earners who are not justifying humongous wages just to free funds to stay compliant with FFP protocols
Great decision Victor. Saudi can wait, no age barrier in Saudi, God willing if you are still active at 35, Saudi league will wait for you. For now I want to be seeing you play week in week out competing with the very best in Europe and still winning APOTY multiple times just like Eto’o and Yaya Toure. Who says with you around you can’t compete in the Ballon d’Or?
I really appreciate osimehn for the decision, Jah bless
Thanks.
So who us this now lol- is it the Woje Geriatric Jones of Willoughby or Ibitoye Bednarok or is it Amala Ikpunobrious or Eba Afeshelu (his bro) lol or deo hmmmm na wa oo.
Well said @Greenturf these clubs splash a whole lot on players like Jao felix and Hunjlund in the past, not to forget recently Liam Delam was sold very high to Chelsea. His goal record is not close to Osimhen but they think he is a better buy than Osimhen. Nepotism is devilish i pray Real Madrid buys him as they search for a real no9. The rest of Europe go see pepper from Osimhen!!
