Team Edo’s Chidera Ezeakor won gold medal in the men’s 100m at the 2024 National Sports Festival in Ogun State.
Ezeakor won the keenly contested race in a time of 10.27s.
His Team Edo’s counterpart Enoch Adegoke came second, while Taiwo James Emmanuel of Team Rivers came second.

In the women’s category, Kate Odumoso beat a strong field to go home with the gold medal.
Odumoso claimed gold medal in a time of 11.43s.
Action will continue in the athletics event at the Moshood Abiola Sports Arena on Sunday.
