Swedish striker Viktor Gyokeres has reportedly parted ways with Portuguese actress Ines Aguiar after she advised him to remain with Sporting Lisbon.
A Bola, a Portuguese publication, reported that she had assured fans in a widely shared clip that she would “promise” to persuade her partner to commit to a third season with the squad, but it appears that this plan has now been abandoned.
Not pleased with the development, the disgruntled Sporting CP forward, who has drawn interest from Arsenal and Manchester United in the transfer market as he looks to split from his current club, is reported to have broken up with Portuguese girlfriend Ines Aguiar as he looks to leave ties to Portugal behind.
The couple ended their relationship before Gyokeres left for a summer holiday in Greece, a trip he took alone while Aguiar vacationed in Formentera, Spain.

TV Guia claims that Gyokeres personally informed Aguiar of his decision to end the relationship before leaving for Mykonos.
‘Viktor doesn’t want anything to link him to Portugal, especially because he has already decided that he won’t continue at Sporting next season,’ a source close to the player told the Portuguese outlet.
‘Before going on holiday, he spoke to Ines, explained what he felt, and she was also prepared in a way, despite it being something that was difficult for her because she really liked him.
‘It was a way of protecting themselves, especially because they knew that one day the separation would happen.’
Despite the reports, neither Gyokeres nor Aguiar has publicly commented on the alleged split. The two still follow each other on social media.
